"The Door into Summer"

A couple weeks ago, I listened (for the first time) to the super deluxe edition of Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones, Ltd., and I had a small realization about "The Door into Summer."  I'd previously noticed the wordplay in the line "In his counting house where nothing counts but more," where the same word is used in two different senses:  first "counting" as in reckoning and then "counts" as in matters.  The wordplay has additional significance in this context, though:  the plurality of meaning matches the abundance described (the "fool's gold stacked up all around him" in the first line).
